How to use Wordpress to Create Powerful SEO Feeds

Posted on January 31st, 2010 by admin

There is currently no way within iweb to actually add keywords to your website. The following article will explain how to add keywords using a free program that will work wonders for you in designing your iweb site. This is very simple and easy to do and it is something that every iweb user should use.
The SEO Alien has been involved in the internet industry since 1996 developing websites and optimizing them for the search engines. From Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 and beyond we have seen it all and there is so much more to come. This is a HOW-TO article on how to create a powerful feed from wordpress.

1. Using your Wordpress account, post an article. You can use a Wordpress.com or a free Wordpress.org account, both will work for this. After you create your page, be sure you can locate your Wordpress feed. If you can’t see it you may have to add the meta tag widget from “Appearance”–>”Widget” in the Wordpress backend or dashboard

2. Have at least one article posted before you go on to this step. Once you located you feed from the home page remember where you found it, you will need to locate it later. That is the URL you are going to use for you feed. (click it to see the whole URL in your browser.)

3. Create a Tumblr.com account then create your blog. Add that feed to your account. (there is a widget for that and it is easy to do.) Doing this will auto populate your tumblr.com blog with a a sentence or two of your main article from you blog and also give you a readable backlink to your blog article as well.

4. Create a twitter account. This is more powerful that I think a lot of people realize when you use it correctly.

5. Create a hootsuite.com account. Add your twitter account to it and then locate the RSS Feed tab and add your wordpress feed and set how often you want that feed checked for new content and then add it to your twitter account. WAMMA, no when you post an article on your Wordpress page and without having to do anything more, you got it to two other powerful locations for SEO and general visibility online.
